Cameron Smith has developed a wide ranging set of styles in various mediums including chalk, oils, house paint on particle board (really), sculpture, primitive art and application of found objects to create a broad palette of  extraordinary art and out door installations. Born in Edmonton, Alberta Canada his love for art came into focus in his early teens with water color and pencil works starting in 1973. His Jazz influenced images date back to as early as 1976 and include portraiture of Duke Ellington and imagery inspired by the music and album art of the venerable Blue Note label as well as Earth WInd and Fire. As a long time Jazz radio and TV personality he's travelled the world to work alongside some of the greatest names in Jazz as a journalist and personality. "I've had such a rich and full life already" says Smith, "so now it's time to focus on creating art that reflects my life long love of music, travel and nature. I have so many ideas that I want to bring to life in a number or artistic diciplines...painting, sculpture and so much more...it's a very exciting time for me and it's been so gratifying to have my work resonate with so many patrons already".

My only desire is that you find art in your life...it's everywhere if you're ready to embrace it.

I was so incredibly blessed to have lots of art around growing up...my parents were a huge influence as my mother was a gifted and beautiful dance teacher and my father an educator and Jazz aficianado...they taught all of their children to appreciate art in all of it's many facets...dance, music, literature, theater and of course the visual arts.
